ACRO inc (hereinafter referred to as “ACRO”) shall handle personal information based on the following so that customers can use ACRO’s products and various services at ease.
1. Management System

With respect to information collected by ACRO that can identify an individual customer (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”), ACRO shall endeavor to keep its contents accurate and current. In handling Personal Information, ACRO shall take necessary and appropriate measures to ensure safe management of Personal Information (information security measures) including prevention of unauthorized access, fabrication, leakage, etc. by third parties.
In addition, ACRO shall endeavor to maintain and strengthen the management system by periodically carrying out education for its employees for the protection of Personal Information.

2. Collection

ACRO shall obtain Personal Information in a legal and fair manner.
ACRO may ask its customers when needed to provide their name, address, telephone number, age, date of birth, gender, e-mail address, occupation, composition of family, description of products purchased, description of various services used, preferences pertaining to cosmetics, fashion, etc., size, skin condition, and contents of opinions and consultations, etc. when the customers purchase products of brands handled by ACRO, when the customers use ACRO’s various services, customer desk, website, etc., when the customers cooperate with ACRO’s various marketing activities, and when the customers participate in ACRO’s various events.
Personal Information will be collected directly from the customers or ACRO’s business partners within the scope required for executing its business.

3. Purpose of Use

Personal Information of customers will be used for proceeding with transactions with them in a safe and accurate manner and providing better products and services. Specifically, in each business of cosmetics, health foods, sundry items, and other businesses of ACRO, Personal Information will be used for delivering products and providing services, as reference data for research and development of products and services, preparing various statistical materials and media, carrying out various announcements and marketing activities through telephone calls and direct mails concerning products and services, recording and organizing contents of opinions and consultations, providing Personal Information to our business partners, etc. within the scope required for achieving the above purpose of use, and only within the scope required for executing ACRO’s business.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Personal Information of customers may be disclosed or provided to third parties in the following cases:

  1. 1)When the individual’s prior consent has been obtained in advance concerning disclosure and provision;
  2. 2)When based on laws and regulations;
  3. 3)When provision of Personal Information to business partners, etc. is carried out within the necessary scope and items among items of Personal Information as stated in 2 above which were collected in writing or through electronic information for the purpose of achieving the purpose of use informed to customers.
    If a customer wishes to discontinue provision of Personal Information to third parties stated above, ACRO will discontinue provision of Personal Information to third parties stated above based on a request of the customer. In such a case, however, please be reminded that the customer may not receive various services of ACRO; and
  4. 4)When disclosure and entrustment of information is carried out within the necessary scope when handling of Personal Information is outsourced to an agent for the purpose of achieving the purpose of use informed to customers.
    In such a case, ACRO will ensure the management of Personal Information by requiring the relevant agent to carry out information management which is equivalent to that of ACRO.
5. Disclosure, Revision, Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

If a customer wishes ACRO to disclose Personal Information of the customer him/herself to the customer him/herself, ACRO will promptly respond in accordance with laws and regulations after confirming the identity of the customer unless there is some particular reason.
In addition, if a customer desires revision or suspension of the use, etc. of Personal Information of the customer him/herself, ACRO will promptly respond in accordance with laws and regulations after confirming the identity of the customer.

6. Retention Period and Deletion of Personal Information

Personal Information of customers will be appropriately retained and managed during a period which ACRO determines to be necessary, and will be completely deleted in a safe manner after the termination of such period.

7. Compliance with Laws and Regulations and Handling Improvement and Upgrading

In handling Personal Information of customers, ACRO will comply with “the Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other laws and regulations of Japan to be applied, review the handling on a continuous basis, and endeavor for its improvement and upgrading.
